About Me - Irina Hulme

I have 16 years of ballet teaching experience having graduated from the State Choreographic School in Sofia in 2002 as an ‘artiste balletista’. Following my graduation I was invited to join the Bulgarian National Opera and the Ballet of Sofia, the premier ballet company in Bulgaria. Whilst performing with the Ballet of Sofia I participated in the "Anastas Petrov" national competition and was awarded first place and also attended the  Bulgarian State Conservatory  from which I graduated in 2007 as an ballet master. During my 8 years with the company I was lucky enough to have worked for a time with Gilbert Mayer from the Opera de Paris and l'école de danse as well as having performed the entire classical repertoire of “Swan Lake”, “Giselle”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “La Bayadère”, Romeo and Julieta” and "Don Quixote"... amongst others.

I speak Bulgarian, Russian and English and I am currently actively studying Spanish.

Classical ballet for children

What we do during the class? The ballet classes are held in a game format to interest children in choreography, to help them liberate themselves and to learn to express themselves through dance. This immersion approach with classical music helps to create a wonderful learning atmosphere in which to learn, which supports the development of their artistic talents in preparation for a dance performance.

Dance aerobic for adults

What better way to keep fit and looking great than dancing! It's as serious as a workout gets but it is also, much more fun than you could have imagined exercising to be. This type of workout is a set of exercises performed with rhythmic music and elements of Latin, Oriental dance and classical ballet with each week having it's own theme.
*We start with 10 minutes of warm up that gets you ready for action then we move on to a 30 min dance section,
I'm going to get you moving like a pro and shaking the bits of your body you never knew you had.
The workout has been designed to burn calories, shake, and tone your whole body from tip to toe.
After all that there is the important tums and bums workout section on the floor and to finish we have a 15 minutes chill time which will cool you down and stretch you out.

*Note that the timings are approximate and may differ from session to session.
